Distinguished and Famous people from Stirling
🏏 Justin Langer
Justin Langer's cricketing beginnings at Scarborough Cricket Club give the City of Stirling a direct connection with one of Australia's leading Test batters. He progressed to Western Australia's first-class side in December 1991 and built an international reputation for determination at the crease. His career later extended into coaching, including the Australian men's team. Induction into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame in 2022 recognised his contribution as a player. Scarborough belongs at the beginning of this story: the local club provided the setting in which a young cricketer developed before his name became familiar to audiences around the world.
