Although not born in Stirling, Gina Rinehart has significant ties to the area as her father, Lang Hancock, made significant mineral discoveries in the Pilbara region, which falls under the administrative area of the City of Stirling.
Donald Bradman
Sir Donald Bradman, widely regarded as the greatest cricket batsman of all time, was born on August 27, 1908, in Cootamundra, New South Wales. Although not born in Stirling, Bradman settled in the area later in life and resided there for many years.
